Welcome to Jaltode! We are a family of artisans dedicated to keeping the centuries-old, traditional art of authentic brass casting alive in a world dominated by mass production. Our story begins in the intense heat of our family-run foundry, surrounded by the glow of molten metal and the echo of hand tools. For us, brass isn't just a material; it is a canvas where heritage, fire, and fine artistry meet.
In our workshop, we breathe life into raw solid brass, transforming it into timeless, vintage-inspired masterpieces. We draw deep inspiration from classical European architecture and design movements, specializing in heavy French Baroque candelabras, ornate Rococo accents, and elegant Victorian-style decor. Every single piece you see in our shop is born from fire. We melt the brass at extreme temperatures, carefully pour it into custom sand-casting molds, and wait for the metal to take its final structural form.
Once cooled, the true craftsmanship begins. We do not rely on computerized machines or automated assembly lines. Instead, every curve, floral motif, and intricate rocaille detail is refined using handheld tools. Each item undergoes hours of meticulous hand-polishing, filing, and artisan detailing to achieve that perfect, warm, antique gilded gold patina. Because everything is created entirely by hand from scratch, no two items are exactly identical—giving your piece a unique character and a rich sense of history.
